I was thinking of joining schneider as a regional or OTR. I was wanting to be out 2 weeks and home 2 days. Or the home weekly. I live in Chattanooga, tn and I know the pay starts at .28 per mile

So the recruiter told me if I'm home weekly I'll 1800-2000 miles a week and if I do the every 2 weeks, I'm looking at 2200-2500 per week. Was wondering how true that is, because my concern is at .28 per mile thats not much money. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

They put sensors on the trucks. They won't idle between 20 and 80 degrees. Start thinking about that heat coming. It's hot in those trucks. They don't have APU's. Just sayin.

As far as the estimates given by your recruiter, I'd say they're pretty close....no puffing or exaggeration.

But what Klatu said is also something to consider, though I believe the sensors are active between 20 and 70 degrees. No matter....these tractors can get very, very warm when it's only 70 outside.

SNI has become less and less of a favorable company when it comes to driver comfort over the last year or so. I worked there for 4 1/2 years, and used to recommend them pretty highly. I no longer can do so. I also understand they're suffering from a pretty large turnover percentage of experienced drivers.

    Good luck.

Ive been with SNI for about 15 months...if you keep the planners updated, you can easily do 22-25. I stay out about 3 weeks...then take 3 days. But 28cents? I dont remember what my start was...but at 12 months its 38 cents...plus 2 cent bonus

Check with PRIME . I know they did have a regional tanker account out of Chattanooga but don't know if they still have it .

I only get good miles IF they don't send me to the Northeast.
