Just a clarification if you run on 19 on 101 all the way up, your going to get run over by all the lowboys, long loggers and mule trains coming off the coast range heading to the mills. most flatbeds know that we haul ###, most dry vans just get in the way, and amazingly you can never talk to them. To answer the question with a theory, logging companies, mills, and trucking companies that haul logs to mills in the PNW all run on 40channel cb radios. 17 is one of the only channels not used 19 is tankers or heavyhaul 21 is pretty much all tankers coming off the rack. We haul on one lane gravel or mud roads, so we have to call our marks, so all channels are used. So 17 is for the freeway. this is just a theory.

I'm in Oregon and what I was always told is 17 is north/south and 19 is east/west. So, it would make since if I-5 was on 17 since it is N/S
