Correct-a-mundo, but he only mentioned SLC in terms of where they did CDL training.

Should be Decatur, IN if I'm not mistaken.

Chuck is right once again. I talked to my recruiter and my ticket is for Springfield. They don't do new CDL training in SLC. I failed to ask her if I'll check into SLC later for my upgrade? That part I don't know.

I HAVE MY TICKET to MO! I'm heading out next Sat 13 March! I'm quite excited, looking forward to it! :Transportation cost

I've had trainees upgrade at Pittston. They have simulators there now.

i can't say for sure about SLC, but up until the renovation at Pittston with the installation of the simulators, pittston did the upgrade test in real trucks with cones set up... So I don't see why SLC can't do upgrade that way.

however, SLC has become packed with trailers. Retired 26-27s, red tagged, new trailers, and everything in between. When I was there last they had em parked up front there between the terminal building and the open air transfer dock, plus most of the fence line.

i put on my old timer hat and recall fighting for empty trailers as they came on the yard. The crafty guys would hang out at office and ask the drivers as they came in if it was loaded, and if it was empty were they going to drop it.
