Thanks! Look forward to getting input from anyone else. These color combinations are from the Eagleford play if anyone is active in that area.

Actually I think Bayou Well Service has some yellow in their colors too but I know purple for sure. Halliburton is big down there. Trican is down there too, all tan trucks and trailers. BJ/Baker Hughes is big down there..blue and white tractors with Blue trailers. Platinum Energy services is workin' down there too. White and green trucks with lots of chrome. Cudd Energy services as well, Black tractors with purple trailers. Frac tech too, Red tractors with dark green trailers. Weatherford is there..red and white colors but I've seen some gold equipment too.. There's just tons down there!

Can anyone working down in the South Texas oilfields name a few companies that provide housing for their hands? Thanks in advance, skeeterbud.

Provided housing is very uncommon in Texas compared to what you see in ND. I heard East Texas will provide bunk house accomodations though

Well i am trucking school through a local community college up here (tution was only $400). Its an 11 week course where we drive 4 days a week and have 1 day of week for class. I have 1 speeding ticket and 1 at fault accident in the last 3 years.will it be hard for me to get a job in the oil patch or do you think i would get a driving job right away? Also what can i expect to make? I was thinking of moving to Texas so i could have some sort of a social life.

Oilfield=no social life. But you will make great money when there is work. Probably can start off hauling water or moving tanks making anywhere from 14-17$ an hour being a new guy. I can't answer your question, but I would just apply at several places. you never know they might need drivers and hire you! Best of luck
