Can someone tell me what the weekend guarantee pay is all about there at Maverick?
-
If you get hung out away from home on the weekend and you delivered friday morning, then they guarantee a minimum of 800mi for the weekend.
bardo1 Thanks this. -
Dan, I just met an IC named Steve that said that he thought he knows you and your truck. Met him tonight in Denny's at the Flyin hook at #2 in Franklin, KY.

For those who have been to da fort and heard the rumors, yes it is a fact eugene has been fired. I didnt ask details, none of my business, but i did ask if it was true he was canned.
jxu417 Thanks this. -
Does the weekend pay miles apply to all divisions?
-
Only the OTR divisions. Dedicated divisions no, it does not apply. So, if you are in one of them, do not get yourself hung-out!
raetnrunner Thanks this. -
Thanks for the update.

Hey, I resent that, I like my swinging doors lol.
But you're right. Maverick is willing to maintain the equipment, but they depend on us to tell them when something is wrong. The load I have is getting me home, and its not due until tomorrow. I could easily be there today, and get almost an extra full day at home before delivering. But I'm sitting in NLR right now because the reverse lights on my tractor are not working. I'd love to have that extra day at home, but keeping Maverick informed about when my equipment needs maintenance is not only good sense, but it is part of my job description.
I can't understand how a driver can move down the road with something not working correctly. It drives me insane and raises my blood pressure every time I approach a weigh station, praying for that green PrePass light, when I know there's something wrong with the truck or trailer. And that's just when I'm on my way to get it fixed... I'd lose all my sanity if I was doing that for 1200 miles.sewerman, Blind Dog, raetnrunner and 1 other person Thank this. -
Had a small hole in my tarp but was getting a re-power to get me home for some R&R so I just let 'er ride. Let the next guy fix it if he notices.Last edited: Mar 13, 2013
