Yes, but sometimes maybe the members could voice their opinion and if enough agreed it should be relaxed maybe the mods would reconsider. It is pretty strict here, and I think some enforcement is a good thing, but over enforcement pushes away good people who may use more colorful language than you. I'm a member of another forum that is totally un-moderated. It's a drag racing forum, and anything goes. But it is packed full of great people who do great things for people in times of need. I don't expect TTR to be like that forum, but I see no difference in typing out words and the editor changing it to "####" and us changing it to "%^&*"...If you can look at it and figure it out, it doesn't change a thing. Sometimes "vulgar" words as some call it, makes the statement the way I would really say it, instead of how the police(mods) want me to.
I was typing something the other day, and it wouldn't let me type a word that had to do with working on an engine. But it was a "vulgar" word according to the filter and I feel that if I get pointed for using that word then I am not welcome here anyways and will just leave. I ask a guy about how do you re-tard(leave out the hyphen and it edits it to ######) a diesel engine timing, if it has no plugs and wires. I found my answer and no one was hurt. Should I have ask, How do you "special education kid" engine timing in a diesel, with no plugs and wires?![]()

I welcome you to YellowBullet.com(NWS), it is totally unmodded and definitely a far cry from a ghost town
http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/index.php 69,162 members and counting....Feel free to look around, but be warned, it ain't no cushy lovey dovey place like TTR is. But it will definitely get any question you have about drag racing answered, and by the fastest in the world. ENJOY!!!

Like the group that doesn't cuss, like this rule does?:smt102
I know it's always been a rule, but that doesn't make it the best rule. -
Yep, they have a whole 6 people online right now. TTR has 3269 people online right now. My point exactly, they come and they left.

Try again

Y'all can discuss this till the cows come home......bottom line is this: We have a certain vision of what we want for this community, if you can follow the house rules great....you'll likely never have an issue with one of the staff members here....keep pushing us with this skirting the filter nonsense and you'll likely be getting an infraction or shown the door if it continues.....it's pretty cut and dry really. You don't have to agree with our rules, that's okay, but we do insist you follow them.
I always laugh when I have someone tell me that you can hear worse on TV....or at work...etc...etc....You probably can....but that doesn't make it right.Admin, classic_150, Big Don and 8 others Thank this. -
Just curious, if this is a discussion forum, are you now heckling us for discussing something? Or is our opinion that we think y'all go overboard sometimes not welcome? I understand your house, your rules...but you should also realize that with 100k+ members there are going to be some people that think y'all abuse y'alls power. Case in point, post #17. What was so awful that was said by that member that his post needed to be completely deleted? I could see if he called her bad names and verbally abused her, but according to her description of why...basically he said something that she didn't like. That's over abusing power. There is no reason a funny comment(I'm assuming that's what it was meant as), needs deleted because it had some political comment added to it as well.

Doubt it, I think Jake the bullhauler done took them all.Hammer166, Working Class Patriot and Meltom Thank this.

I went to school to become a certified Harley Mechanic. The rule of the school was no cussing. And there were hundreds of people every term saying, "But we're Bikers..." If 900 bikers every day for 1.5 years can refrain from cussing I think we can refrain for the hour or so that we are on this forum. And believe me, I have to go back and re-write my posts before I submit them.bullhaulerswife and Pmracing Thank this.
