Although people claim ''e-logs'' are about safety,we all no different. We are not STUPID.It is really about slowing drivers down to be on a more ''even'' page. Most all the ''big'' companies are the ones tossing Millions at the politicians trying to mandate this..Just look at the ones lobbying for this and follow the ''money trail''..

I just wish people would be HONEST and stop saying this is a ''safety issue''..That is the part that drives me nuts..:biggrin_25526:..Ths word S A F E T Y..The ''S'' stands for MONEY MONEY MONEY....:biggrin_2559:

Trying to mandate it? How about elogs/EOBRs in all trucks is already in law. MAP21, the new highway bill passed last year has a provision requiring the FMCSA to pass a rule requiring it.

If thats the case then i guess i stay home until i get the ''great rates''..:biggrin_255:..Just like today.I waited it out and landed a $3.00 mile 10,000 lb load 10 miles from my house.:biggrin_25514:..It will not affect me one way or another.I haul dynamite great paying loads...I can run ''legal'' and still make wonderful profit..The guys it will hurt are the ones hauling cheap freight..

This is another clever way for the mega carriers to control their undertrained uninformed drivers,it isn't about safety.

Its about control and making people perform no matter what.Hiding this garbage under the word safety makes me laugh.E-logs have nothing to do with safety just carrier profits...

By the way.E-logs ARE NOT Tamper Proof..I no some guys in NY that know how to beat them..If there is any ways around anything,a trucker will find it.Been like that for years..:biggrin_2559:.It must be the alone time for hours and hours to ''think'' of ways to beat it.Kinda like a Prisoneer in jail...:biggrin_2559:

I spoke with a guy today. All he does is ''unplug'' it and goes about his business. One catch. He has to be back in the spot he started from or ''unplugged'' it...So i can unplug it in Jersey City and then go do my high dollar NYC Loads and deliver. Then come back out to Jersey City and ''plug'' it back in...ROLMFAO..:biggrin_2559:
