If you want to get home

I was off the weekend worked Monday and Tuesday came home Tuesday night took wendsday off left at noon today will unload in the morning and go back home for the weekend and will still take home more than most otr drivers if you look hard enough you will be able to find a family friendly job in trucking you may have to put in a year or two to qualify for them but they exist .

 

Oh and last week I had a three day weekend .

 

I think, I want to go home today. I finish my work and go home!

It is good to be running local. I stay out maybe once a month.

Not true.This is the brainwashing ''big carriers'' want you to think.This week i only worked 2.5 days and took 4.5 off and still made 1,500 to the table.Big Carriers love guys like you that believe this B/S..They make alot of money off your sacrifice.

 

I'm glad you wrote that, it saved me from writing the same thing.

 

Nothing's really a sacrifice if you enjoy doing it. Besides, unless someone is going to tell them how to make 1500 a week only working 2.5 days it doesn't really help them.

 

The truck IS home to me. My real home is like a vacation home...

 

The new guys are very difficult.Everytime we older drivers try and tell them,they say we are FULL OF S=====....So it is tough to break through the ''brainwashing'' they recieved in the school...
