If I remember correctly endorsements transfer in CA, except hazmat. However the CDL transfer applicant is required to take the practical part of the exam (pre trip, backing, and road test) in an appropriate commercial vehicle (state does not provide the truck and trailer) with a state examiner before CA will issue the CDLLicense

Heh! Found out when I renewed my license since Texas won't accept any other states background checks, none of the other 49 states will accept anything from Texas. They is a whole'nother world!

Thanks for the tips. By the way it's 70 degrees finally in Tennessee! That's awesome. And now I need to study for the exam lol

Not that the weather has anything to do with anything but it's worth mentioning.... I hate cold! Lol

I can see this whole Test thing is going to grow some arms on here...hehehehe.
The way the recruiter explained it to me, is that I should "NOT" taking any endorsements here in California first. She said "firstly, you will not need them prior to testing out after your "PSD" portion of training. She said once I've satisfied my trainer and FM that I'm ready, they'll schedule a load out to California and I'll test out in my trainers rig at a local California DMV. That is how it was explained to me. That way, there will NOT be duplicate testing needed. There will be no practical testing in MO, as California is one of those classic examples of things gone amuck! LOL.... If you live in other States, what I just said may not apply. You may be doing your practical in MO and maybe something else in your own state. So, definitely pay attention in Orientation to get the full details I imagine.
If anyone knows the contrary, by all means chime in. But until I'm told differently, I'll assume my recruiters word is the case.superpet39 Thanks this. -
Oh...Chattanogajimmie....We live in such a micro climate area in SoCal. Today it was 93F when I drove through Woodland Hills near LA. As soon as I hit the grade to head down into Oxnard on Hwy 101, it had dropped to 63F! How many places do you know that have a 30F temperature swing without hardly any change in altitude in a 22 mile distance? IT'S NUTS here sometimes! I hate it this time of the year near the coast because of the Marine layer and colder temps...but it's wonderful in about two months when everyone else is baking at plus 100F and we're at 80F...hehehe.

Does anyone know how the eye exam works? Is it just a chart or do you look through binocular things? And if it is just a chart do you only cover your eye with your hand? I sometimes have trouble with the binoculars sometimes lol
