Since you are so tight with OOIDA why don't you share the names of small companies that belong to them ? The only "companies " I know of that belong to OOIDA are O/O's with their own authority .

I had a long top with my affiliate owner yesterday . He's been driving longer than I have . He's the best employer I've ever had . He still drives and knows what makes drivers tick .
He explained the situation with EOBR's . Before EOBR's he'd just leave drivers alone as long as they did their job without problems . Now the EOBR's regularly records drivers' speeds . That knowledge makes management liable . Some drivers are exceeding the company speed limit policy over 60% of the time . If these drivers aren't disciplined and have and accident there would be a serious negligence suit .
He said I'm o.k. . I only show speeding 5% of the time . Doesn't matter . I told him I chose to drive the same reason many other drivers do . We want to get our job done without someone constantly looking over our shoulder . Take that freedom away and we're gone .
I don't mind listening to him . He's reasonable . It's the people behind a desk making the rules while really knowing nothing about the real world of trucking that irritate me .snowblind, cowboy_tech, 7-UP and 2 others Thank this.
