I noticed on mine whenever I push clutch or gas pedal egrs stop cycling so was thinking of some switch lets say on clutch to turn it on /off when needed (dont want to loose engine brake)
I wonder if it would work.. other than that heard there is some company that can program engine computer not to engage egrs

Are you saying that you just done it? And it seems to work??
-
Yes on a D 12 its easy to block EGR, all you need its a drill and a small pice of a metal to cover whole
-
its easy to block the tube but if they still are throwing "out of calibration" codes on D12 the engine will be derrated, horsepower limited

U can just unplug the egr and there is a way to turn them off but u have to find someone with access to vcads pro from the dealer. And the fuel code if its the pump with the the water droplets next to it means ure water in fuel sensor is bad or u have water in fuel. Or depends on the water separator set up someone did not plug in or broke the wires on the sensor it usually does not affect performance

I have a friend mechanic that works for the dealer.. He can bring his work compiter with vcads pro..
Could you please tell me how to turn egrs off with VCADS PRO ??
Im getting out of calibration code more often now and will have to change egr soon

It's not that easy that I could just explain it to you it's a process what u can do that's easy and u can do it yourself is just unplug the egr you're going to et a code but its not going to be out of calibration and it shouldn't derate the engine so unplug it and u should see a difference the first egr plug is located behind the alternator in front of the plastic box for the wires the second egr plug is the first plug under the box if your looking at it from left to right so basically the first two plugs on the box from left to right

My friend has them unplugged and welded.. He gets the error codes and hes truck isnt that strong as mine without the codes..
But when i get the out of calibration code our teucks pull the same.. So it has to derate the engine I think -
EGR calibration is a soft code. Cycle the key off while you're driving across the parking lot. when the ECU resets you will have full power and the light will stay off until you idle the truck and the EGR's cycle again.
