Not "going" its gone. Time to spend a few bucks.
express187 Thanks this. -
Could be a slipping belt.
Is the belt slick or dried out? When I change my belt, I look to see it the pullies appear to have been polished. If so, I always rough them up to increase friction. -
You don't need to buy a new one have it rebuild it for a fraction of the price. I will cost a lot less.

Like the others said, first verify it is turning. With the engine STOPPED, make sure the belt is tight. They aren't the greatest to work on with the Maxxforce, but make sure the cables are tight. If you have a multimeter, check for battery voltage at the alternator and check the output voltage with it running. If you have battery voltage at the alternator, but out put is low, you need to replace/rebuild. If you do not have battery voltage at the alternator there is broken cable or connection between the alt and batteries and this is why it will not charge. Lastly, the volt gauge in the dash reports the voltage by what the body controller sees. You could have a good alternator and batteries, but bad power supply to the body controller.

Should be 14v

another thing to check is belt tensioners they get weak and let belt slip. can get alternater rebuilt but anymore you can by new for a fraction more and be back on road quicker. have the old one rebuilt and carry for a spare.

Where is the body controller? Cause Iost more volts.Had to hook up to reefer. And now I have 12.4 volts coning from reeefer battery.thats the only way I.m getting home.

Body Controller is behind the panel to the left the clutch pedal, but there is really nothing you can fix there if you don't know what you are doing. Did you do any of the other checks?

check voltage on alternator terminals and on batteries. May be loose cab wiring ore loose cab ground.
