Hi Guys, How many miles are you all averaging a week? I know that the time of year plays a part in it too. For any of the seasoned drivers, what kind of yearly averages are you all making? I appreciate any input.
-
What has been the lowest average miles and the highest week of miles. It's just that I am torn between Maverick and Averitt. So, the miles are the only thing that is making the difference of my choice. Both have great benefits, equipment, people, and so on. The companies both are top notch!! I have really researched both companies and read everyone's great threads. This is ultimately the decision maker now is pay and mileage overall. I am wanting to start with a great company and stay there a long time. Thanks for reading and any input.

200k plus on it. Not ragged out, got do the inspection tomorrow, get everything set up also. Refrigerator won't fit in the cabinet, I thought of using a wine bottle cooler, they are only $39 at Wally World. Picked up a microwave up that will fit for $49. Does the cascadia have the multi use antenna like the Volvo?

Bzzzzz microwave don't fit. How do you all mount them on the 2012 Cascadia? I will take this one back since I can use the old one.

I have my microwave strapped down on the top bunk in my Cascadia. I set my fridge on the front seat and have it strapped in there since I rarely have a passenger. Yes, the Cascadia has the multi-use antenna. I pick up local TV stations very well with it.
It's been awhile since I've been able to post. Miles have been down due to having to be in on Friday and out on Monday for medical appointments but all that is done now so I can get back to my normal schedule. Left out on Sunday afternoon headed to New Concord, OH and delivered there yesterday morning. Took almost 4 hours to get unloaded, and then they had me drop my empty at a customer in Columbus and then sent me to the Columbus yard to get an empty. By the time I got here it was almost 6pm. Got a preplan to pick up in Chillicothe, OH this morning and I deliver in Berryville, VA tomorrow morning. Doesn't look like I'll set any record on miles this week either, but I'm earning a living. I'm getting load assignments no problem but they seem to be under 500 miles and 24 hours to get them there. Hopefully since I am back to a normal schedule now it will pick up.
Saw a bad truck wreck in I-68 in WV today. A tanker got tangled up with a flatbedder headed down a steep grade. I was climbing at 30 mph when it happened. The flatbed jack knifed in the median but the tanker flew across the oncoming lanes and busted through the guardrail like it was aluminum foil. It ended up on it's side in the woods. The tractor was on fire. The first car to show up had two volunteer firefighters in it so they got the guy out and the fire put out. I don't know if the driver made it or not. The flatbed driver was fine. A very stark reminder of how dangerous this job can be. Please be safe out there and remember the old saying, "You can come down a mountain too slow as many times as you want but you can only come down it too fast once."Tnronin Thanks this. -
Sending prayers for the drivers that were in the wreck. Also, sending prayers for you as well for your medical issues.
