That's excessive. I sometimes park at the Petro in West Memphis, especially when I get there late. I plan on getting a meal and maybe a few necessities in the C-store and between the meal and store receipts, the $20 min purchase to cover the parking fee is taken care of.

Ya.... sometimes u have to give props to the lil truckstops. I remeber one lil truckstop near the Ga. and TN border that was convient. I was low on hours left to drive so I was looking for a spot close by to stop of for the night, and this place was like the lil oasis in the desert lol. Quick parking, nice food in the shop, wifi net, showers, even a cool lil spot upstairs to cool off to in the summer. The thing about these lil truck stops are alot of times they will have easy parking, and you dont have to wait 30min. to hr just to find parking. So ya I give props to some of the lil truckstops out there.

That parking lot is TERRIBLE. The grey dirt/mud makes an OCD clean freak like me nuts. There is an industrial park around the corner from there on the way to Costco that I would always park in. DOT has been known to park on the street by the mustard seed and inspect trucks leaving there in the am.

hmm wasn't sure there was overnight parking in that industrial park.. haven't had to stay at the mustard seed market though I have thought about it a time or two, if needed in a pinch. as far as parking is concerned, at night it is packed. It's usually scale and go for me or the store, they don't have any showers or a lounge, at least they put down gravel and rock, I can think a few lots that are worse in that time of year.

I do like clean, mud wholes did irritate me more in the past, but.. sometimes it's part of the job and not worth the negative energy..

There's not. But nobody says anything as long as some don't screw it up.

Never been to the Derby but the one at the 62 is on I-71 (The YUM-YUM Shop). I like the Tennissean down on I-65 too.

This. I always got there late parked at the back, and left early, usually a 5:30 at Costco.

no, there's one @ the 62 in KY too, across from Hardees.
love the Tennessean, that's an awesome lil' stop I hardly ever get to drag by.

I also used to love Horns in Mocksville, NC off 40 @ the 170mm, but that place is on the slippery slope it seems.
