lease purchase

a friend of mine went there,lost his butt.

The lease won't be with transport america...it will be with partner company T-21....do research on that...

 

From what I've seen and heard buying from a co.means u buy a truck for them and get a $300 paycheck.

 

Not only that, imagine if 50 years ago, a Company calls on a meeting, he tells the employees that from now on,
holliday pay, vacation pay,sick days,retirement, health insurance are no longer available, got to work on weekends and the employees are now responsible for the machinery, the fuel that powers the machinery,taxes,ins., and the employer receives all the income and pays the employees with all that responsibility what ever the employer feels is fair? Folks, if this deal happend 50 years ago, there probably would be a revolt! Well, that's what happend to trucking today. That's why i always tell rookies, if you are going to drive a semi being paid what Mcdonalds pay? find another company! The pay does not match the risk! You kill somebody, you will end up in Prison or sued! That's why you always charge or bid your highest rate!

 

Good minds must think alike!, These guys that are jumping into a so called O/O is not really doing themselves any good, go to say a leasing company I know of one that they sell used trucks stand behind what they sell, after as little as 36 months you own the truck, they send you the title, they do not send you loads they do not baby sit you they are only a leasing to own company, they make their money off the quality of truck thery provide you, I have heard there are guys who do this truck after truck after track turn in the old one and get a new used one and recycle through it, There is about a $5000 down payment but a few months running hard as a company driver you can save that much. I would highly suggest that you go this route rather then the Lease deal where at the end of it all you have nothing to show for your $300.00 a week pay checks. again. Just my 2 cents worth. The biggest issue I find with Lease plans is that the company holds all the cards.
They will tell you where to run and what you make and don't make,they set the rates and those are subject to change.
If a driver gets sick or has to quit for any reason(don't forget they can fire you as well) their wages for that last month worked will go towards the truck and the driver will get nothing...........so be aware that unless you are able to remain with that company for the rest of your lease agreement YOU WILL LOSE THE LAST MONTHS PAY. Read the agreement, I am sure there are cancellation fees that would eat up most of your earnings.

Trucking companies are in business to make money..........do you think they're going to go out and buy equipment for a driver to use and not expect anything in return? If you sign a lease agreement you have become A CAPTIVE SOURCE OF REVENUE and they will exploit that to the fullest.


If you have money.....go buy a truck......if you don't have money........drive a company truck.
