Short wheelbase winter issues

Well here are the Ford pics for ya...if thats what ya wanted. There is an engine in there somewhere...or at least somethin that makes noise that sounds somewhat like an engine...lol

Thank you all for the comments! This truck gets alot of looks and I have gotten numerous thumbs up through the windsheild of oncoming trucks and pickups...it feels good to have somethin unique. I have even had a couple guys come up n ask if they could take a picture of it...haha

 

Thanks Sara...the exhaust is all above the frame so that wasnt the issue. The biggest problem was the battery box was right there and so was an air tank. This came with 2 batter boxes w/ 2 batteries each on each side of the frame. I had a custom box made similar to a T600 box w/ 2 over 2 and had it mounted right in front of the right side tank. The air tank was relocated to just under the rear of the cab above the tranny.

Hammer, this truck origionally came with full side fairings and a roof fairing. When I bought it the fairings had been removed and there were no steps. Apparently these factory steps are rarer then gold hens teeth so I had these ones made at a fab shop n I think they did a pretty good job. I wanted to try to remove the tabs on the roof for the fairing there, but all the bolts turn with the nuts so I would have to remove the whole headliner to do it...or just cut em off n touch up the bare steel on top....we will see...

I am keepin my eyes open for a pair of rear breathers to finish it off along with a proper deck plate and maybe a nice 10" stainless visor...

 

Hey Prarie Boy...care to take a guess where this truck originated? You might know as it was up in yer neck of the woods n all the miles on it were haulin A-trains from Edmonton to Whitehorse...

 

Yep...original color... It was one of a dozen LFS trucks. I think they got rid of em when Transforce bought em out.
