and try to ask why your hire was rejected and they can only say it was a yes or no reply that they can give. Usually do u know why it was rejected? Everything on my application is verifiable, and a clean MVR driving record or 8+ years. I did work for the company back in 08 and put in my 2 weeks notice before i left, so i dont see the problem.
Have any of you been rejected by a trucking company....

Yes. I was skeered on my test run. Too slow I guess. 21 years old. I ended up getting hired at different location of same outfit and put in a few good years there and even saw the jerkwad who initially denied me, part ways with the company.
-
No I was denied from my application or what not... never my driving. I had best roadscore in my cdla class and a super driver. Been at a driver job for 5 years no accidents or speeding. That's not the problem. That's what I hate about some companies there HR departments are so shady even when your the best for the job, they can be the cause of your no hire over lies and DISCEIT.
-
In my experience, both in and out of trucking, is that HR people are a breed unto themselves. Most, (not all,) of the ones that I have known have pretty much been "head cases."
Pretty tough to get a straight answer out of someone who really has no idea themselves of why they did what they did. . .

Ya it pisses me off, how some computer desk people w/ phones have the authority on if you get a job or not and they dont know one thing about ya.
-
probably a blessing in disguise, move on there's better companies out there

Young man I think your problem is that you have 8 years experience. No mega carrier in their right Ming is going to touch you. And I'm guessing that you haven't had any accidents that is a red flag right away

You can request a copy of anything they have obtained to make a decision. You have to ask for the documentation in writing. There could be something on there that you don't know about - ie, incorrect information that needs to be disputed. It does happen.

When I got out of driving school in 84, I was rejected by CRST! Never did find out why........
-
Most drivers that have been around awhile have been rejected without explanation. What's funny, many companies later call the drivers wanting to hire them, not realizing they were rejected at some earlier date. Some of those HR people are just drawing a paycheck; so don't take it as a personal affront if you're rejected.
