ugly or not. that's what you have to look forward too. trucking isn't a job you can pay your bills on around here in the west.

Don't know yet. They can't fix it until its mt, so it's getting unloaded now. The next question is will anyone be able to fix it tomorrow? Otherwise I have to get them to pull a pset and sit for a day.
The most frustrating part is that I can't point to something and say that's where I screwed up. If I at least had a lesson to learn that wasn't only applicable to that specific crossing than it would at least be a learning experience and a newbie mistake. As it stands I have no idea why I hit the crossing that is in a parking lot that trucks operate in all the time. What did I do different? -
Picking up trailers here must be what junkies feel like. Hey Mann... Chu got a trailer? I don't care of its dirty just let me get one!
Lady K Thanks this. -

I was in Rochelle yesterday at Americold, the gate guard assigned me an empty-- I drop off my loaded and go to get my empty-- it wasn't there. I went around and asked about it. They said they had one getting emptied over at a dock. I went to go get it and the numbers didn't match. I asked and they said it was the right one and it was all mine. I hooked up and went 400 fee around the corner to drop it and hook up to my next load...

I do that all the time in aurora, il. Drop at the refer location and pick up 2 blocks away at the dry side. If I do it the other way around though I just bobtail because dry never has mt's. nothing like pretripping a trl for a .2 mile journey.

I don't think the facts bear that out. Like most careers, trucking has a lot of negatives; but non-viability isn't one of them. This was my very first check with miles on it. That means that it was at the lowest pay per mile that the company pays. As a company driver, in a year's time I'd gross an additional $140 on the same miles. Not many jobs offer that kind of raise in a year.
-
no one will offer that. nor will they gaurantee 3000 miles every week. i did a whopping 1800 this week. becuase my unload stops at 2. to which i wasn't gonna make. and my reload stopped at 1. to which i again wasn't gonna make.

I mean no offense, but before you start looking at this through new rose colored glasses, envisioning your new high paying career that solves all your problems, ya might wanna note that Snowwy has been doing this for over a decade. ..just sayin'Arkansas Frost Thanks this.
