Everybody gave some great pointers and advice. Only thing I would add is to establish hooking and breaking routines then do both the exact same way in the exact same order every time. That's a good way to catch problems. One other thing is to check seal numbers if you hook sealed trailers. You're more prone to miss-pulls dropping and hooking sets all the time - I've caught myself hooked backwards a couple times after checking the seals as well..

I've noticed a number of air ride with super singles Fed Ex dollies with Cat's Eye tire inflation setups. Maybe aluminum frames? Not sure.
Look like nice units. Can't remember which division runs 'em.
Traffic jam sight seeing.
More about the UPS dollies - no paint on them, just an extreme layer of Galvanizing. Seems to work well, even in salty ol' New England. -
Fed Ex Ground I believe is the one you are referring too.

go slow, and never over correct on steering. Once you have a system on hooking and unhooking, dont change, this is one time in your driving careeer where you want to be consistent. Make yourself a small card checklist that you can keep in your pocket in the beginning, airline pilots use these every day, not a bad idea. dont stare in the mirrors, trust me, the back trailer always follows the front one unless you do something bad.
okiejon Thanks this. -
Pulled my first set of doubles last night. Wow. Nothing like I ever thought! My truck actually handled better with pulling doubles than it does a single! I have to say I will definitely enjoy pulling doubles more often!

also, the off-tracking is different depending on your speed. its on the inside when slow (as you'd expect), but more on the outside at highway speeds.
