I left ND last year , are things slowing down ? Got to be good friends with a lot of drivers up there , but all the guys I stayed in contact with have gave up and returned to civilization .

probably not. never looked real close at any of there trucks, but haven't noticed any new trucks on the road. i work for another company but we have helped mbi on a couple fracs in the last few months. so they must be somewhat busy. we are coming into spring road restrictions so there will likely be a temporary slow down soon as they wont be able to permit some of the rig moves. unless your on the production side of things, i don't seem to see many mbi crude trucks on the road. but when i do they seem a little sorry looking.

No, MBI still has alot of junk equipment, and yes it is slow. I work for a contractor of MBI and I have only worked 3 days this month. There are alot of contractors and only a little work.

Ya , the last guy I worked with left two weeks ago, he said it was so slow they were cutting hours back to the point it didn't pay being out in ND.
IMO, if I'm not working 70 a week it wasn't enough to offset the HIGH cost of living !

It started to slow in Jan 2012, I'm in rig moving, combination of several factors
    1. More competition rig moving Co' # about 9 in 2010, now around 50, but some are leaving (good go)
    2. Change in type of rigs, from we need anything , to multi hole pad drilling, so move less
    3. Co's taking stock of situation and budgeting more for long term
    4. State & Counties road restrictions / frost laws & road damage

Rig count is supposed to increase this summer as new rigs arrive, hopefully some of the bootleg newbies Co's will be gone
