its all in the contract, should have read it before you signed on the line. Welcome to lease purchase, if you don't know how to run a business you will never make it

Sorry but you guys have alot to learn! Yes most LP programs suck but there are good ones! I'm living proof, started with an older model paid it off, traded it in on a new truck, paid it off and only sold it when I took a local dedicated gig. Now I'm back OTR but this time with the wife as a team and we are getting ready to get another one. As all things in life buyer beware and you have to pay your dues to get ahead, it may not be the easiest but it can be done! By the way I'm an23 year rookie and loving it. I would like to propose that we stop people in their requests of others to discontinue their posts, which are actively trying to stop members from posting "take heed" warnings perhaps a little too late.

I love these people they willingly sign a lease agreement because the recruiter promised them the riches of the world. Then complain they're getting fleeced. At least your husband earned $500 a week many fleasees owe the company money after a 3000 mile week.

Back in the '90 's I saw an ad from International about leasing a new truck. I pulled out a calculator multiplied the payments by 48 months . I think it came out to $ 70000. Also they would charge $ .05 / mile for miles over 100000 miles a year. At that time I think u could buy the truck for about $ 90 000. Leasing never crossed my mind again. I have owned 2 new trucks. Never leased one. I think leasing is a worse deal than buying. But maybe it is the right thing for some. My free advice: save your money and then buy what u can afford. Used trucks may be the way to go . I bought my current truck new in 2003. It has 1.1 million miles. It is perfectly dependable and still looks good. I learned that new trucks aren't necessarily better than used. Especially with the emissions stuff. My first truck had a transmission failure. My second truck had an engine failure at 450k mi. And differential at 675k. .No major failures since 675k miles. Whether something fails is partly luck. Drives and runs like new. Just because a truck is newer doesn't mean u won't spend plenty on maintenance. Tires. Shocks . Oil changes. Brakes . Wheel seals . Batteries. Do the math. If it doesn't add up. Don't do it.
