At the end of the day you are going to do what you want to do no matter what anyone on here say. But personally if you are making $1000/wk as a company driver I would stick to it and use the 82 grand to run a business in another industry. So when the trucking industry slow like around the 1st quarter you have another business going. There are a lot more secure business to invest that money in than a truck. The reason you see a lot of these guys on here have a truck with payments and telling you not to do it is because they wouldn't do it if they are in your position. It seems backwards but its not. A person with no money can get a truck run under a company authority company fuel card etc so they start with no money and struggle they way up till it gets better (most fail). How many other business can you start like that.
I say that to show you they didn't do it because they had other options they did it because they have to at that moment, you are make a good weekly pay considering everything paid off, entertainment is a good industry to put your money in, no matter how bad economy is people always find the money for entertainment. good luck with with the truck you choose and don't spend the entire 82000 on a truck because its a pretty truck.
Good luck and make the best decision for you.

A bunch of people recommended CDs which is BS. At 1% apy and 3% inflation you are losing. But still better than have the money sitting. Right now I would buy real estate and rent it out.

I would buy 20-30 acres of farmland; the world population is almost double since I was born and the Earth has same size ; people need food first, not gold ,stocks or trucks.
