Very interesting
-
Ans what kind of miles did you cover ?
-
That's a lot of short trips, there. Hope you get paid by weight and not mileage.
-
300ish miles.
-
Coils pay by the weight usually. General freight pays on miles...... I try to mix them both with light loads, paying very well, going very few miles lol

Unless you have an 8 axle I am calling BOLOGNA ....that is boderline impossible ... It has to be some type of inter-plant move and why shoul we be impressed by that?
IF you hauled 3 loads per day at a 50,000lb avg thats 150,000 per day x 5 days is 750,000 ....
And you want us to believe this was done in 300 miles which is 60 miles per day means that you are avg 10 miles per trip one way ....
This is done on a daily basis by local guys in the Gary, Cleveland, Detroit, and Pittsburgh areas
***YAWN***
Oops sorry...I think I was susposed to be impressedSGTSmokdU, TwinStickPeterbilt and CAXPT Thank this. -
My buddy is a slab hauler at Us Steel in Gary, I'm sure he moves a couple million tons a week, and only travels maybe 100 miles tops.... but that's inter-plant and with a slab hauler machine LOLCAXPT, Clasix1055 and TwinStickPeterbilt Thank this.

13 local loads at 40,000 LBs per load for a weekly total of 300ish miles is quite doable.
CAXPT Thanks this. -
Some guy with a Quad axel dump truck and a 2 mile round trip haul hauled that much by Monday night.
