Carb made it too hard to say to many variables on vech combos. Go to there web just type in carb cal and then enter diesel vech should at least get you headed in right direction I know that 2000/2004 have till jan 2014 with small fleet exception filed. There some other exceptions on diff vech combos I could but typing till hell froze over listing everything.and they have a habit of postponing or enacting rules when they feel like.

The table of information I found off of the CARB website is

    Pre -1994 - No requirements until 2015 then a 2010 engine
    1994-1995 - No requirements until 2016 then 2010 engine
    1996-1999 - PM filter from 2012 to 2020 then 2010 engine
    2000-2004 - PM filter from 2013 to 2021 then 2010 engine
    2005-2006 - PM filter from 2014 to 2022 then 2010 engine
    2007-2009 - No requirements until 2023 then 2010 engine
2010 or newer - meets final requirements.

I do not know if this is the final rules that they are enforcing but sounds similar to what everyone has been talking about. Retrofiting the engine for a partifulate filter has not been successful so it pretty much limits you to purchasing an engine designed with one 2007 or newer. The DEF engines which are 2010 engines are much more reliable then the DPF only engines

    Hope this helps.

I know a fleet that is running 1997 to 2007 trucks into California. The dispatcher/owner has said that all of his trucks cannot run after Jan 2014 unless he upgrades.
