I picked up a prime trailer last summer that had them. Figured they didn't think they were worth it when I didn't see them on more trailers. Guess they found better fuel mileage on the ones they tested.

I heard it was approx 7/10ths. How long before tire covers

ip i have the same thought. There was a guy in my instructors class that actually drove a lot of the tests. he was thinking the same thing. He said that the ones we are looking into have a spring hinge and should you forget to pull them in the slightest bump folds them up. But I still have a vision of some guy on his first solo run or a TNT that sees an easy back so doesn't get up his trainer to spot and that tail cutting in that custom pete with the 10inch chrome stacks. I'd rather see them look at airtabs for trailers as they are effective and offer stability as well.

Did I read the data on the mpg savings wrong but, it appeared there was a greater MPG savings at higher speeds..
-
That's true with any aerodynamic improvement.

so will prime start to allow prime trucks to run a lil faster? I have gotten used to driving 55 its not as bad as everyone thinks it is.
-
Company guys get 62 on cruise, and 58 on the pedal... but it's not the speed that counts. It's the fuel economy, and that's how they measure your performance. Go fast? Never happen. Fuel costs are down, accidents are down, and Ontario limits your speed to 105 km/h which is basically 65 mph.

My old trainer been telling me to run at 53 after running at 55 for the four months i trained with him.. think ill stick to 55.heard the tails dont change much if any with fuel mileage tho.
