Pride Transport out of Salt Lake City hires out of the NW I believe. At least they were when I called.

Good evening everyone! hope everyone is doing good, I just got done with another good day at truck school, 1 day closer to finally joining with a company. I Have applied at many of the suggested companies, 2 have wrote back today so far, May Trucking, and TWT Trans, so far out of the 2 I like TWT from less negative comments, plus better starting pay, and seems people get more miles from them. The one down side I see so far is they don't have a terminal near me so not sure how that would work out for time off? I will be talking to the lady tomorrow during my lunch break to try to figure that out, but if anybody has a clue to that question would love to chat with you! I am still open to suggestions of company names if anyone else can think of any? Anyways off to dinner, will check back later, have a great night everyone!

Some allow parking at a truckstop or at home. Some want you to park in a drop yard nearby. Where exactly do you live? There's a bunch of truckstops in Oregon, I don't think you'll have any problems finding parking.

Yeah, you should have no issue in Salem. There's a few stops right off the I-5 in that area. Good luck and welcome to the crazy world of trucking!

Hello everyone! So to update everyone on whats up, I talked to a TWT Recruiter today, she explained that I would have to park the truck in Portland for my time off, which is fine, a 1 hour drive home, until I move back up to WA in a few months like ive planned on doing, then will be much quicker of a drive. She asked what division I wanted to join, reefer, flatbed, MAXXI, I dont think as a newbie I should try MAXXI yet, plus I think id rather get some experience and go to tanker division(better pay) so my big dilemma is do I join reefer or flatbed, flat bed pays 2 cpm more then reefer so I am thinking that, but I would love everyone's opinion on what would be better and why? As for trucking school, 1 more day down 1 closer to making money, it was pretty funny though how many people grinded gears so heavily, you can keep saying zone zone zone as much as you want and for some reason they just cant figure it out even with all the training so far(its all about the tach at first). Lots of automatic failures for those guys on the road today if we were actually testing. Guess its a good thing the test is not until next week. I did great, kinda felt like an allstar at the end of the day, cant wait to get back to it tomorrow. Anyways would love some feedback on those divisions, thank you!
