I will stick making my 65cpm along with my pension and benefits as opposed to selling used cars or having the headaches of trying to feed my family driving independantly with diesel 4 bucks a gallon. Thanks for the suggestion though.
First express rapes drivers wallets.

Seems as though most fellow CDL drivers enjoy being treated like second class citizens with yourself as part of a shrinking minority who won't put up with companies stealing drivers money. -
I guess that may be true.
In our parts you screw up and make a mistake you take care of it and do not expect someone else to take care of it for you.
I had a demo for nearly 10 years. I hit a dog on the way to work one morning. I paid for the damages and never considered having the dealer pay for it.Corporal_Clegg, ShootThis, truckon and 2 others Thank this. -
Where is diesel 4.00 a gallon on my areas? I paid less than that and not starving at all, you forget that UPS is not your friend and I have the freedom and the financial resources to be independent due to my own endeavors and need no one to give me work.
Try taking time off with your seat warmer job, you may get it but not whenever you want to do it union or not. -
If you want to feel better about your job and how you make more than other people you can look at me. I don't make much money at my job, or my other job, or the other job.
aiwiron Thanks this. -
Yup
Yup
Yup, and you own a house in Hollywood right? I think we have all met your kind before. ..
Very well said. -
My guess would be that if your employer had offered to take care of the damage at their expense the reason for doing so would have been because you were a long term employee in good standing. That says that if you do your job faithfully and don't complain constantly, when minor things go wrong (even if it is your fault) the boss might give you a mulligan.

I had a demo and it carried a $2500 deductible. It kind of sucked but when you get a new vehicle to drive every three months or so it was worth the risk.
If they would have given one person a mulligan it would have been hard to not give it to everyone regardless of their work performance.aiwiron and Corporal_Clegg Thank this. -
Why did you stop selling cars? Sounds like you were doin good there.

Keep getting walked over driver by the company, you seem to accept it and even enjoy it.
