My wife and I landed in Salt Lake last night. The shuttle came and picked us up and we've done our first night in the luxurious VIP accommodations here at the West Valley facilities! lol

Some of the company trucks have apu mostly CA local trucks (no ideling allowed in CA) there are a few otr trucks that are O/O returns or defaults with an apu on them. You are allowed to idle, they want you to keep it under 10% (20% in the summer) the trucks have bunk heaters so heat in the winter is available w/o the need to idle. Also my batteries will run the cooler and fridge, any any lights I need for about 8 hrs no problem. If I cook I idle while cooking as everything but the crock drain the bat quickly.
Don't take this to the bank, but I have heard of some people utilizing a quick disconnect off of the jump pegs and they just disconnect it before going in for work, I've never tried it. Mine is just hardwired in. They told me it would void the warranty on the batteries but I checked to replace all the batteries it was $400 and the "Freightliner approved lve inverter" was more than that. Figured I would take my chances. Now I have over 200k miles on the truck and the warranty is expired and the batteries are still working just fine.
I'm a bit of a tinkerer and I found my colman at a fuel island. I was bored so I checked it out. The hot/cold switch had a short. I just wanted it for cold so I just bypassed the switch and it's been working fine for over a year.
You would be amazed at how many things you can find that just need a new fuse or a wire soddered. -
PSU is there room behind the cab on the catwalk area to bugee a Bicycle for when you have a long wait for a load? In my travels I have seen Truckers do that but not sure if there is room with the Reefer unit on the Trailer.

Hey Unloader...I was walking around the lots here at the West Valley facility today and came across a black ProStar with your mask on the front of it! It's with a bunch of trucks that are getting sent back because the lease is up on them or something but I was cracking up! Thought it had to be yours at first but then remembered you hadn't gotten yours yet. I'll take a picture of it if I remember tomorrow! Bored as heck right now but super excited to get started Monday!

Per the photos I've seen you just need sandals & orange jumpsuit to match your room. Knock em dead over the next two weeks. May be close behind you first of. May. -
Yup. If you sit it on the spare tire and strap it down good you should be fine. Also they get very dirty back there so a bag on the seat and a good wipe down before ridding are good ideas.

My mask? I think your talking about my avatar picture on the forum right? Its the TRANSFORMERS logo, haha. And yes when I get my own truck I am going to get a little decal and put it on!
Best of luck to you. Im hoping to be back in west valley to upgrade in about ten days. Would love to meet you and put a face to the name.
unloaderCorsair4me Thanks this.
