if i change out from a 10spd to a 13/15/18spd gear box will i have to recalibrate ecu on my ddec iv

A few may have to be changed. You'll have to check the VSS parameters. If progressive shift is enabled, you'll have to check the gear ratios set in the limiters tab for that.

The number of output shaft teeth will most likely be 16 on any trans you put in, but verify that. You'll have to program the top gear ratio and second highest gear ratio to match the new trans.
