You will be safe if every where you go , you holler and make karate chops into the air. Do this in the truck stop TV rooms also. None of those cowboy truckers will mess with you.
-
also for the most part you will be able to tell who you can trust and who you cant just by the genereal appearance of people. You will also find that alot of o/o's will generally have a pistol with them in their truck somewhere. most would not recomend it and i wouldnt in a company ride but trust me if i owned my own ride you can bet your life that i would have one

Most drivers will show you respect as a woman. So carry yourself as a respectful woman. Don't walk around without a bra, or wearing a tube top, pants that were loose 25 lbs ago, or talk with all the innuendos.
What should you do if you attract unwanted attention...you know, from that guy that's standing too close for comfort, or staring at you like he's some sort of vampire, or worse...that great big fat Harley t shirt wearing dingo boot wearing butch dike who keeps making obscene gestures at you with her tongue?
Was in a bar, having a few cold ones. Tired, bad mood...just going to down a few and go back to the motel and go to bed. This girl runs up and asks me, "Sir, would you be my boyfriend for a few minutes? I have a guy that's bothering me." Oh man, and I was already in a bad mood. A guy steps to the other side of the girl and she clutches my arm, "How was work, honey.?
hmmm, this must be the punk...
"Terrible. Really bad day at work. I'm so pissed off that I can't see straight. I am this close to going postal. God help the next person that pisses me off."
"Oh, I didn't know you had a boyfriend...."
As I said, the vast majority of drivers will be decent to you. You can tell the one that will be a problem. Avoid showing him any personal interest (who do you drive for,are you married, what do you think of this) and odds are he won't be thinking that there's the possibility of a chance of a go with you. If he's really dense, have a temporary boyfriend walk you to your truck.WV_Daddys_Girl, skellr, Lilbit and 2 others Thank this. -
very true^^^ a lot of it is also in how you conduct yourself.....
i have a rather distinct voice on the CB....always had men hollerin..."where ya at"..."what ya wearin etc."....
my reply was, "you knowing where i am or what i am wearing isnt relevant to my driving or yours"....
i CANT stand a woman that wants to get on the cb and try to do a sexy whisper to talk...seriously...thats not your real voice....
i dress decent, act decent, talk decent.(dont cuss or flirt or use innuendo)...
some of the women out here act like drivin is their daytime job......i will leave you to figure out what their night time job is.....
if you have a cute trim body, you dont need short shorts and a halter top to let others know that....you will earn more respect from a man if you dress decently.....
women who come out here and act like a sleeze give REAL women drivers a bad name...the ones who go down the road flashing other drivers etc....are not professional.....WV_Daddys_Girl, Lilbit, BritChick and 1 other person Thank this. -
speaking of dressing for attention, I found that dressing like a trashy unkempt trucker keeps the panhandlers away. When I wear my button shirts amd jeans, I get hit up. Shorts and my old faithful blue shirt with bleach stains, they don't even look at me!
NavigatorWife, mje and WV_Daddys_Girl Thank this. -
