Been hard to update this.... only have my phone for internet.. ... I'm in week 3 of training with my trainer... got about 7k miles done...

    And....

I passed my cdl license today in Chattanooga TN. Talk about and instant stress relief. Now we can knock these miles out and run some team. All goes well I'll be done April 12th or before.

Road test on Thurs or Friday... can't wait to be solo... little burnt out and ready to move forward. I just hope that I get a good running truck and don't have to ride too far to get it. We'll see.

Anybody have suggestions on must haves when going solo.

    No# 1 thing is patience.
Your going to have some really bad days out there, especially (spell check aint worken so if I misspell something just over look it) the first month or so. The best advice I can give you is just don't let it get to you. Take your time when coupling and uncoupling your trailers, double check yourself on everything at first even after your about to send your dispatcher a message since theses new qualcomms want to add more letters to your message then intended. And at the end of the day when you finally get stopped for the night and you start thinking about some dipshittrucker cussing you out because you were in the center lane trying to pass a Prime truck and you know when you jumped over there, there wasn't anybody around for miles but its still taking you 10 miles to get around him because your only going less then a half mile an hour faster then hes going.
Here's what you need to do, pull your curtains closed (you don't want to let the truck next to you see you) and whisper into the mick on your CB " I Aint Got Any Panties On." Trust me, It will make you feel better.
    Nuff Said.

Lunch box stove, Truck stop guide, 12v plus in fan ( not the turbo just the oscillating ), if you plan to cook more than the lunchbox can do an inverter. A push broom, full size crow bar, lysol, degreaser, a funnel, rags, a normal claw hammer, a tire gauge, first aid kit, air freshener, patience, and a good attitude.
