Just a thought for you, maybe try one of those driver placement places. Something like transforce or whatever may be in your area. That way you can be flexible with your schedule and it also gives you a look at some of the companies they send you to. Maybe you would land at a place that would hire you full time that you would like and vice versa. That way, you could try a few jobs and it wouldn't look like job hopping, cause you would be with the temp place till you find a good place to stay. Good Luck and keep us posted.

I hope for her speedy recovery and a job for u to be home more. Any OTR driver can appreciate how serious situation that is and panic mode would set in for any love one to care for.

I used to follow your post when you started day one in CRST Malone, then you had to leave CRST because you had to take care of a family member. Now again. Yes it's tough. Hope your fiance gets well soon.

I worked local for a while when my chick was pregnant. Matter of fact i'm still technically employed with all the temp agencies i drove for.

Here's a list of places you might want to try.

    Labor Ready.
    Centerline.
    Quality driver solutions.
    Apple one staffing.
    Roaddog staffing.

These are all nationwide staffing agencies that do hire cdl drivers, and pay about $15 or $16 per hour. It's local work, and home daily.

Your loved one will be in my prayers. How did the first local job run you into the ground? I'm just curious.

Lots of lies during the interview, wound up working way more than would be legal and hardly being home even though I was technically home every night. I'd be so exhausted I'd eat, shower, sleep a few hours then go back to work 6 days a week. It was not a good thing.

Thanks for all the thoughts.Yes DOTY you indeed remember last time I came off otr it was my mom that needed me. You guys have given some great suggestions. I only need a few more months experience then I can apply for a job hauling fuel tanker for a local gas station chain (highly recommended place to drive) so maybe the temp thing would be just what I needed.

As always thank you my trucking family, I know I can always get some good advice from you.

Have you checked with Ryder, or Penske? I know around here they hire drivers for local companies, where you're home regularly.
