Did you put a king pin lock on your trailer if not he might be considerate and is trying to prevent your load from being taken think about it he probly went out to eat just like you and if worst comes to worst just move his trailer
-
If i were you, i'll call Landstar and report him! get the Empty trailer number and Lic. plate. Imagine if an emergency comes up and you have to hook and go?
-
I do have a lock on it with a hanging tag, pretty obvious. Good thought tho.
I couldn't find a number for Landstar corporate; I was going to see if they could contact him and see what was up before I found out that he had shuffled over to the asian buffet. At least I knew he wasn't going to be too long (the buffet will kick you out after 4 hours because you eat too much food
)
He was probably thinking that he wouldn't be gone long enough to matter, but there was enough space in the lot for 12 more trucks where they could all park without blocking anyone. -
no matter what, never ever turn into a rat
dang, why is that the first recourse for some men?
if an emergency comes up, then move what needs to be moved, other than that, dont get mad, dont turn into a rat
just either let it go or get evenLogan76 Thanks this. -
My intent in contacting Landstar would not be to rat him out - only to get some contact info so I could coordinate our departure times.aiwiron Thanks this.

That might be why he parked in front of it. Might of thought it has been sitting there a long time due to the lock.
Parking at hotels can be a pain, especially some that aren't really meant for trucks but allow them. Always have to make sure you leave room in certain ways others can't screw you. I never bobtail out though so haven't ran into that situation. Most of the guys hitting hotels often know if you're there first you're probably leaving first so they help you out often giving you an easy out. Doesn't always happen though. -
Every. Time I.think I.am out.they.block.me .in

That makes sense too. But there were literally 12 other places that he could have parked where he wouldn't have blocked anyone, 4 wheelers or otherwise. Personally, I will only block someone if it's the only option available to park, and if I will be staying with the truck so that I can move immediately if needed.
-
That's what I was thinking, too. Might leave a note on his truck to let him know that while he's sitting there waiting on you to arrive so that he can leave, he shouldn't get too upset because he did the exact same thing to you.
Some people just don't realize how inconsiderate their actions might be or how they will affect others until the shoe is on the other foot.
