We have no problem with venting here as long as it's done within reason. But you aren't just venting about how this situation sucks, you're blaming everyone else for your mistake. That's what we take umbrage with. Alot of the drivers here take pride in being safe, legal and productive (for lack of a better word) drivers, and we really don't take kindly to folks that aren't as they make it harder for those of us who are to do our job. There's no doubt that your situation sucks. It's every drivers nightmare that they make a mistake and end up like that. Like others have said, thank goodness no one was seriously injured of even killed. You got relatively lucky that way. But the way you are handling this whole thing, here, on a public forum, blaming BIGG and the folks who were stopped in front of you, has lost any goodwill or sympathy you may have had if you had acted differently. Anyway, good luck with everything driver. I do hope things work out for you and that you have become a better driver after this incident.

Basically, he got conplacent. We just had a driver get fired for a jack-knife, in the rain. He was pulling two kites(empty doubles) and doing 55 when he came up on a four wheeler that was doing 35. He moved to quick to pass and......well needless to say that he wrecked before his 90 day probation was up. 10 years of pulling doubles and he got conplacent. 3 sec following distance at 68 is way too close. This poor driver is out of luck. Good luck with your new job at Mcdonalds. I would like frys with that please!

He can buy his own truck. That's his only option.

He will not get a job for 3 years with most large carriers. That the story I was given when I had a rearend Back in 2000. And I did not total out my truck nor did it have to be towed. But I did get my truck slowed down to 20 before I hit.

Lol I did the math for 65 mph. I wasn't sure I did it right because I was tired so I didn't post it. It was 90 some feet a second. I feel better now.

It looks like green turtle got fired twice in one day!
Only one thing left to do.... Get Drunk!

I'm still looking for why Big G is a bad company. I thought firing a driver because he ran into another truck at full speed makes them a good company.
Drifter42 Thanks this.
