6nz cat loss of fuel mileage.

    I guess when cat rebuilt it 450k ago the must of had it 1 tooth off then the backlash of the idler just loosened up of time. It was hard for me to feel the power loss cuz of the PDI stuff but man its better now. I also raised thd fuel psi to 105-110 @ wot with the new spring and shim and put a new fuel valve

    thanks for the reply; i am going to check my timing the first chance i get.(which may be several days)you didn't notice your truck running a bit rougher? my motor has always had a pretty good vibration?

    I have a 2000 379 with a 600hp 6nz 13speed and 336 tears running 24.5 low pros! I can baby it or get on it and it still gets 4.5 to the gallon! What can I do to improve that?

    How fast do you drive? And is that average just off the dash readout or is it a tank to tank average over a period of time like 30 days?

    I just parked my peterbilt. I went out bought a new kenworth T660 by went from 5mpg to 7-8mpg now lol. Oh and this Cummins in this is deleted shhhhhhhh
