Any suggestions / advice on the general upkeep of the interior of the cab?

Specifically, I am mostly interested on suggestions / advice on "mopping" the floor. Do you use any particular cleaner? Do you use a mop? Do you use a rag? I have tried different approaches, but am never completely satisfied with the end result. Seem to end up with visible streak lines, a slippery, or a sticky floor. Am kinda wanting some ideas and opinions on what products to and not to use, as well as the methods of doing so.

Here is what I do, and feel free to laugh.

I have a Golden Retriever who travels with me. To get rid of the hair and dust, I use my leaf blower that was bought to "sweep" out trailers. It gets a lot more use inside the truck than the trailer.

I use windex on the floors, because it cleans great, and if I have time a grease less protectent (don't know the name and I am not in the truck).

Am not sure that I would use a leaf blower for the inside of the cab, but you bring up a great suggestion for the "sweeping" of the trailer. I pull reefer and all them danged nooks, crevices and crannies can be a real pain in the butt to sweep, when a trailer washout isn't needed.

    Thanks for the tip!

I have carpet. Shark makes a steam wand with micro fiber attachments. uses distilled water and puts out hot steam. sort of a portable steam mop leaves no residue behind. Never had vinyl floors in a trk. I'm a clean freak have OCD when it comes to most things. I have a dog as well she gets vacuumed every day and trk 2 a day god forbid a piece of lint hits the floor:biggrin_25510:

Leaf blower works great to get the hair and dust out, used in conjunction with a vacuum. I did buy it to blow out the reefer, but found this other use for it, works better than those seat airline kits some people use.

    That's funny! "Vacuuming the dog."

We all have our ways of doing things!

I could be considered a bit OCD as well.
I have a Brush, just have to get on the Floor and Brush it after I sweep of course.
    I just use Cheap Windex.
Then Dry it with a Red Shop Towel.
Last but not least I use Armor All Type Stuff on the Floors.

I have a Rubber Floor Mat on the Driver's Side, I usually take my shoes off before I go to the back.

I use the Armor-All on the dash and door panels, but am afraid that if I use it on the floor... may be too slippery?

I use an orange cleaner on the cab and such. Weekly vacuum it out with a shop vac and soap/water on the floor as needed.
