Hoo! Hoo!!,
Ok, Have been accepted to Roehl and will start on the 18th in Phase-1 training in Phoenix. I am looking forward to starting my new career.![]()
Would someone please let me know where the Phoenix terminal is actually located. I have tried to bring it up on the internet (google maps) but can't seem to find the exact location.I'm sure it's the operator. LOL!!
Plus, Can anyone give me some heads-up regarding anything that may make life easier while I'm there. Doesn't have to be out of the ordinary, Just little things to make life easier. Something you wish you HAD brought or something you wish you HADN'T brought. Also, is there any shopping close by for things I may be able to purchase THERE instead of stuffing my bag with things that are easier purchased there. Just a thought.
Well, here goes!!!
Wish me luck!![]()

So how is Phoenix? I have an orientat ccion date of the 25th. How was the first week?
-
take the I-10 and get off on 51st Ave and go south a couple of miles and you come to lower buckeye rd (just south of Buckeye rd) and the yard will be on the left just past lower buckeye rd. hope this helps

Ok. Made it through the first week ( Phase -One ) with no major mess-ups. Everyone here in Phoenix has been great. Nice hotel room. Decent eats. My only regret is I didn't bring my own laptop. The hotel Computer (?) is the slowest thing I've seen in 15 years. Holy cow!!! So I haven't been posting anything due to that.
Everything so far has been on the up and up. Lots of "hands on" training, which is good for me. Waiting on my (Phase two) trainer. Already talked to him. Trucks are nice. What I've seen coming in and out of the yard (equipment) has been better than most. Except for the "pig pen" type of guys
LOL !!!
You know who you are. LOL !!! Just giving a hard time, so relax.
Weather has been nice, Mostly in the upper 80's.
Just waiting for tomorrow or Thursday for my trainer to get here. So I'm gonna take advantage of the weather and enjoy the pool.
All's good. And mostly what I hoped it would be.
I'll post back with more as I can as I'm using a public computer.
Bring your own if you can!!!

Hey, AA82...
With your username, I assume you're ex-army. If Im right, by any chance... did you use your GI Bill? Just wondering if Roehl takes GI Bill. I've been looking at driving OTR and go with Roehl or maybe Schneider, just trying to finish some stuff going on before I talk to a recruiter.
Btw... Love your username!!
Take care and wish you all the best.
Pay attention to details. Hooah!
Thanks!
Jae
