what are they for?????
i've driven through there 4 times before. never had a sticker.
is that something like the oregon, nm, ky thing and i got darned lucky rolling through???? cuz i went in, and out. mostly on the back roads was my deliveries and pickup. and went by one scale only and they were closed at that time.

NY had a sticker called TMT for many years and did away with it for non NY bases trucks 3 or 4 years ago.For some reason they re-instated the TMT sticker again.

Basically, if you want to operate a CMV in NY, you either need a HUT sticker or a temporary certificate of registration (limited to 10 or fewer a year, may be an option if you rarely come here). Just another way into your wallet, as far as I'm concerned. -

They brought the HUT sticker back because it is an easier way to catch people who were not paying the extortion fee, I mean tax.biggare1980, peterd, cetanediesel and 1 other person Thank this.

ive lately been seeing tons of trucks putting them on the front bumper. I run all 48 but maybe luckily for me i havent been told to put one on my truck yet

It states on the paper the sticker comes on, to place the sticker on lower passenger side front bumper.

NYHUT has been around a while. They use to have stickers, then for two years or so they got rid of them, now they are back.
