I have a stepdeck, so your "rub railing" doesn't really apply since the tarp will be hanging off the trailer onto the ground anyways.

Never used a bag always my 6 ft drop steel tarps. I got good and could usually tarp a coil in 15-20 minutes. That is if loaded suicide. Thats how I prefer to haul them, it seemed easier to tarp that way too.

My tarp is is a 24x16, so only a 4' drop, but I know I can cover it and wrap it easily. Deff going to look into a coil bag soon tho.
