Trucker Smith.. as far as I know it's 4-6 weeks with a trainer or until you feel you're ready for solo

It really comez down to how you got the cdl. If it was in a semi and recentyou should come in as a c seat meaning you will drice 40k miles on a trainers truck then when you your trainer and fm feel u r ready you will become solo if you have some otr experience it might be less

My last psd had a class a but never pulled a semi. We went out did the time went in and he had an evaluation. Consisted of the pretrip, backing, and a road test just like getting the cdl.

    Hope that helps

I completed the cdl school in a Peterbilt I expect to be with a trainer 4-6 weeks. at least that's what I've been told. I'll find out for myself in 3 weeks after orientation and securement training..

A CDL holder with no experience WILL come in as a C-seat, and you WILL do 40,000 miles with a trainer. You're pay from day one on the truck is $500 per week before taxes. After one month, you're bumped to a B-seat, and it's $600 per week before taxes or 12-cpm for all miles when above 5,000 miles to the truck for the week. When your trainer and FM feel you're ready (and I believe that can be before the 40k miles) you'll go back to Springfield to do the A-seat upgrade tests.

That's the way it is guys. I came in with my CDL from a driving school with no experience.

You have to be physiclly driving for so many hrs,I think like 275 hrs before you are eligable to get qualified.Which is roughly 4 to 6 weeks.

You get the greater of 600/wk, or .12/mi. Less than 5000 miles is 600, anything over is paid at .12
