Well, got the racks and coil belts, but they were out of beveled lumber.....
Do you guys think just some treated pine will work for the little coil this week??? i will get some oak beveled lumber, but for this trip I'm going ot have to do without. So will the pine be oak for a single trip, or do I need to go get some harder wood???? -
Yeah, i know the trick. Just as east to fold it up and go to a nice patch of grass, lay it out and fold it nice too. That's usually what i do, since i have 21oz tarps, not the 18 like most guys. Things are heavy as heck but fold nice even when -20 out.MJ1657 and MackDaddyMark Thank this.

Pine will be fine for a couple trips but thats bout it.

I've got all kinds of oak at the shop if you want to swing by shc.
I'm a dunnage hoarder. -
Only problem you may have if you get a jerk that wont let you load without beveled wood....volvodriver01 Thanks this.

i hauled coils to stelco years ago but never understood why tarping was needed because they just stuck them out in the rain in field anyways after i dropped them off

landscaping timbers are beveled. they will work for a couple weeks. I find 6 by 6 or 6 by 4's take them home & put a bevel on them.

best place to buy a machinery tarp? 16 by 16 would suffice, 18' would be o.k. too.

Idk this came with the job but have used Zamzow in STL with good luck. May check their web page or call.
