So you buy a truck with an expired warranty, the engine fails and the dealer is a crook? I don't see the connection....maybe you should have done your homework and had the truck looked over with a fine tooth comb. Or bought a supplemental warranty.

Well its a volvo dealer and we werent allowed to bring an outside mechanic and they assured us that they would check everything on the truck and make sure everythings good before we get the truck. But yet i still took someone to look at the truck and run it to see if its good truck and the guy i took said it seems to be a good truck. But now we find out that the dealer didnt check the truck like they said they would if at all. I guess you dont know that if dealers wanna make the truck look good just to sell they very well can and you wont even know it. We had all sorts of problems with dpf but we werent getting any codes with these problems, were getting the engine rebuilt at cummins and they still dont see a major code popping out. My point is when when you buy a truck at low kms or mileage and they assure you its a good truck and the truck looks extremely clean all around, you dont expect things like this well at least i didnt expect to rebuild an engine in just couple of months after buying. To top it off they dont wanna have anything to do with the truck at that dealer unless we pay what they want. Thankfully were dealing with a great cummins dealer whos being alot of help to bring the cost down. If you were in my situation you would know what i meant Marmon man.

So you buy a truck knowing the front end is "shot" and your complaining? Sounds like you ripped yourself...I bought a truck from River City and I didn't have problems..although I do my homework and buy a QUALITY truck first..

Your a funny man.. no I didnt know it was shot it was all freshly rattle canned black and full of grease I guess my bad for nut pulling out the creaper at there lot and sticking my fingers in every greese zerk area wiping away the grease to see if im getting screwed. Glad your an expert on how river city does things wish you would of been there then I might not need this gallon of lube ...also if there so great jack... why arnt they standing behind there work they overhauled it but wont warranty any of there work lmao go blow steam somewhere else trying to make me look bad ..buy as much as you like I know I wont..they sell trucks and run a shop theres no reason they wouldn't know whats wrong with what there selling unless they dont care. That reminds I should of flown over there with a 5ton jack and some pry bars so I could of checked the king pins too right cause its my fault for not researching the truck right ..maybe someone in the business of selling and fixing trucks should do better research into what there selling before selling it..just a thought...thats what gives a reputation. ..again thanks for your arrogance

Anyone that has a problem with an outside mechanic look at a truck in detail should be run away from fast. Oil analsis is a great idea too. Its a bit pricey but its the best way to get a picture of the motors condition

Well, they are not a truck dealer but a used parts ebay dealer I Wisconsin, HRIBAR, on I94 sth of Milwaukee. They sold me a thermoking APU that was supposed to be in good working order except when I received it the air cond compressor was busted and the adjuster rod was gone making the unit worthless, They also juked a friend into buying a complete used APU and after another dealer installation it was found to be a defective circuit card and the HRIBAR rep will never answer the phone . All they sell on E BAY is junk and no warranty

Let me make sure i understand right. they put a hose-spike in a high pressure a/c line ? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!
while i have only been a truck-tech. for 25 years i do know that pressure in that particular line can and will exceed 300 pounds plus!
on the units i service daily the engine fan kick-in pressure does not start untill 350 lb. not condusive to a spike in any high side component
(which i will NOT install on a low side compnent)
If you paid for additional freon and clamps I hope it was just the only kid left at the dealership to process your bill, and that was not your final invoice. If it was , i am thinking i need to open a ma and pa repair shop in Texarkana or build a toll-road around it.
