transmission making noises

    Ok clutch in its quiet, clutch out sounds like a gravel mixer. Trans got hot and pulled over. Lost fifth and tenth gear. What is broke?

    Yeah its cooked. I called the owner when i noticed tenth go out. He told me to keep going. Ten miles later, eight started to go. Now the whole transmission sounds like rock crusher. Transmission cooling lime blew.

    Could be a bearing packup and then blew up, or some teeth came off the 5/10 gear, most likely you lost some teeth. They then go about taking little pieces off the other gears, then your cooler line gets plugged and the pump keeps on pumping till the line goes. As long as the trans case isnt damaged it may be able to be fixed depending on what the bearing supports look like.
