I got a ticket years ago in Tenn for $200.00 and they let me keep my detector and I went up to flying J and sold it for $125.00 so it only cost me $75.00, Most states don't allow them and the cops drive around truck stops and check for them in VA.

I used to have one in my pickup. It saved my bacon more than once.
And a few times it didn't.

Now I just drive slower, get better fuel mileage and arrive about the same time as I did before. Late.

Most of us speed even if its 1mph over.. i stay around 5mph over depends on road. But if your gonna speed well you put a flag with lights on your door saying. "Here i Am SPEEDING GET ME!". So when you do get stopped be honest yea i was speeding prob let you go:p

With a radar your just opening your self to more tickets/money. Most radars dont work now days unless you spend the money like $500+ cuz their radars dont stay on all the time like they use too. They are Laser now point and shoot and they go off. So unless there a car in front of you that gets hit first that radar is useless... And FYI a cop does not need a radar to pull you over for speeding. they can stop you just by looking at you and seeing your going faster then rest of traffic

Personal vehicle is an entirely different deal! I even use to run with one in my car. I'm still a lead foot, but not as bad as I use to be.:biggrin_25525:

One of the better ones you can get in that price range.

You can carry a gun in the truck.

the best thing is to just plain and simply obey the law.

first it's a speeding ticket. then it's an inspection. and now your OOS. with a scar on your mvr AND your csa

Mr. Dispatcher, if they wanted it that quick they should have hired an airplane. Your bank account don't effect how I drive. 5.0 wants you slow, and I agree. I run a Cobra & Uniden dogs all the time. I don't break the law, but I sometimes bend the rules.
