Have been hauling the last few weeks local and on I-95 in Florida they have been cleaning out the edges of the medium strips with a lane down to protect the workers, with ample warnings of the lane closure and a care bear posted I observed so many cars and big rigs fly up at the last minute and nearly cause pile ups.

Well, I am not sure what caused it or how it went down but this accident as at the lane zones for the cleaning. I may have missed it by a 15 minute window to be in the same area as the driver that was killed.

They said no other vehicles involved and didn't know the cause. With him being 69 years old and veering off a straight highway I would guess he had a heart attack. Hopefully God had mercy and let him pass before burning. That was my worst nightmare of trucking.

He died doing what he loved best and didn't take anyone with him. RIP driver!

I'm amazed at how many drivers get trapped in trucks and end up burning to death after accidents. Truely sad! Rest in peace driver!

    Truckinchic Thanks this.

Thanks driver. I'm just so desensitized to hearing about death. After all the recent accidents and tragedies, I don't care anymore.
