The pay for new company drivers is .30 pm not .31, .18 as straight pay, .12 as per deim. No .04 deduction that I know of.

After you come back after being out with your coach they take you to see the dispach operation. It was at that time, a second line dispacher told us "we shoot for 2,500 miles per week for company drivers".

I wish they had told me during the recuriting process I could only hope to "shoot for" 2,500 miles per week.

Thats 600 bucks after taxes for driving 6 days a week. Lol. Enjoy that ########, and yes there is a deduction.

My friend works there and like every other OTR job it isn't great. OTR jobs are good for experience and not longevity. Im not trying to scare anyone away, just trying to spread the word on what I know. The pay isn't worth it. 2500x.31= not worth it when u have down time ur not being paid for.

if your gonna go OTR, haul cars. Thats where the money is but you will NEVER be home.

Ok, then please get it right. The pay is not .31 it is .30.
I don't have "a friend" who works for TransAm, I do. There is no .04 deduction for company drivers, I have my check stubs in front of me.

Hmarco, as panhandle flash correctly confirmed, Im a lease op with TransAm. And despite the widespread disdain forlease programs, Im quite happy with my lease. I love my truck enough that its still worth it when I have a bad week. I make the calls that need to be made when i have a problem and get things set straight. TransAm isnt a bad company if you want to make it work. Just know that $1000 paychecks arent handed out on silver platters, you gotta work for them. I intend to do my time and finish my lease and down the road will decide if Im still happy with TransAm or want to take the truck and move on.
