mistakes that let everyone know youre a rookie

Grinding gears when your downshifting!!

 

Calling the cops....*ahem* on yourself.

Having to have your dispatcher come find you, two miles from the terminal, on your first load....that is late now. Spot you out, and show you how to get to the receiver.

 

Stalling out on the yard....twice in a row. *not me that time* that was the other half. I'll not admit to that lol

 

Got pulled in to show my papers at a scale house in Florida. Was 300 lb over gross. Nice lady in the scale house gave me a slap on the wrist and sent me on my way. 2 hours later on the other side of the state buying soda and snacks at a truck stop used the credit card. Clerk asks to see my ID with it. Guess where it is. Sitting on the counter at the scale house. They called my home and told my wife that it was there. I had to drive all the way back to get it. Ended up having to move my load appointment to the next day.

 

That is funny, as I always get nervous when I am going into someplace that looks tight, and I am thinking to my self, "now how do I get out of here....should I start backing up now or keep going?????

 

Drove 60 miles with airlines and pigtail hanging. Smh
