2005 Columbia, 04 EGR MBE 4000. For 8 years its always been the same way: turn key off and a few seconds later the gauges return to zero. Last night I turned the key off and the CEL came on and the display said NO DATA. I started the engine then shut it off, same thing.

Today it hasn't done it at all. The engine does sound like it has a very slight miss however. It be in the shop on Tuesday while I'm on vacation.

I had an issue with gauge cluster coming on with key off, turned out to be the fuse block behind the drivers seat. Had a leaking cab and water got in and corroded the contacts. $100 for the part and 15 mins of my time and the prob was fixed

Was this on a Columbia/Century/Coronado cab? Where is that fuse block exactly?

Mine has a fuse block in the drivers door pillar right beneath the shoulder harness. Slide the seat ahead to get the screw loose on the hinged plastic cover

really it is ABS power supply fuse panel in dr. side door pillar. VCI (FR ore ADM in EU) is located in pass side door pillar, on late versions, generally on Cascadia - under dash near clutch pedal.

EDS (CEL) and FMR (VCI) lamps are controlled not with Engine ECU, but with ADM (VCI). So I sugest VCI wiring problems
