Keep in mind, just because you've a class A license, does not mean you MUST drive a big rig. Let alone run OTR. Your class A qualifies you for class B too. Having a class A license for a B class job, looks really good on your resume.
If you can stick it out, then you can tell your next boss "Hey, I was a certified class A driver for company ABC. I left because I want to spend more time with my family." Which is an excellent reason to leave a job.
It's better than sitting at home, stressing out how you're going to feed your kids.
I just dropped out of truck school, did I do the right thing?

I dont know if you know this but those trucks were not the ones you would be making a living with. And these trucking schools dont teach you everything you need to know. They just teach you the basics and then you get put with a trainer and then you learn the rest on your own. If you couldn't make it past school you definitely couldn't handle the other two. I can see a McDonalds application being filled out in your immediate future.vinsanity Thanks this.

thats UNCALLED for...just because you dont agree with someone, you dont need to call them names.....knock it off

Just trying to help the man find a job. But maybe the boss would talk to him ugly, or maybe its too hot in the kitchen,or maybe the mop is too heavy. Somebody has got to flip those burgers and you get to be home every night.

Okay Real Deal, IF this has been your true intention with all your posts, I thank you. You and I obviously have opposing methods of helping someone, though!Last edited: Apr 29, 2013

I am not calling anyone any names. If you're going to lay into someone like he did, having the linguistic skills of a first grader isn't the way to go, nor is it my fault. Besides, how is what I said any worse then cutting the guy down saying: "I can see a McDonalds application being filled out in your immediate future." I don't see where you tried lecturing that guy. Of whom later on tried backpedaling out of his own sarcasm after he was called out on it.
Just because you agree with someone, doesn't mean you need to get on a high horse with those who don't.
