You're hilarious ! You also need to learn a few things about this biz, like, newbies going to orientation DON'T get their own truck assignment 10 minutes after class is done. You will be out with a trainer for awhile while Wifey sits home doing the Wifey duties and longs for Hubby to come home. There's a series of steps you take. Step 1, get thru truck school and get CDL. Step 2, get hired by a company. Step 3, get thru orientation. Step 4, get thru training. Step 5, get your own truck and then get thru 6-12 months of actual trucking, SUCCESSFULLY. At any time, you might bail, because you can't cut the mustard or deal with the lifestyle. Or even wreck a truck ! Good luck.
Hey again

If you're going to do it, do it right! Get your wife to get her license too! As a husband/wife team you guys can make really, really good money!
If she doesn't get her license, she's going to be riding for free (of which you will have to pay the insurance rider policy) and she's going to drive you nutzzzzzz!
On a side note.... I would personally recommend Central Refrigeration. -
I would love for her to get her license but shes a little timid about it being that its BIGGER than the 4 wheeler shes used to driving but I have been bugging her about it for a while now(getting her license THat is)Last edited: May 1, 2013
